Welcome to the Calhoun Family Resource Network Family Support Center (FRN FSC). Since our founding on May 10, 1996, we have been dedicated to supporting individuals and families in our community with a wide range of essential services and programs. Achieving non-profit status in September 2000, we have continued to grow and adapt to meet the evolving needs of those we serve. We are here to empower and uplift our community, one family at a time. Our mission is to provide a holistic approach to care by recognizing and honoring the unique physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each individual and family. We strive to support well-being in all aspects of life, fostering a compassionate, comprehensive approach that empowers those we serve to achieve balance, healing, and lasting fulfillment. We focus on meeting essential physical needs through a wide range of support services. This includes providing access to food, hygiene products, household necessities, and baby supplies. We also offer resources to help individuals prepare for employment, including job readiness programs and life skills workshops. Additionally, we support families with parenting classes to help build a strong foundation for personal growth and well-being. We do not provide or refer for abortions.

Family Support Centers
West Virginia’s Family Support Centers (formerly Family Resource Centers or
FRCs) are warm and welcoming places in the community where any family
member with children up to age 18 or pregnant families can go, not only in times of need, but as a regular part of day-to-day life. Family Support Centers (FSC) offer parent education classes, child development activities, parent-to-parent support groups, after school and academic enrichment, General Educational Development (GED) and literacy instruction, health information, and referrals to programs, activities and services in the community. Each FSC’s specific services are designed in accordance with the needs of the community. FSC services are voluntary and available to all interested families.
FSC services are not restricted to at-risk families, but offered to any family in a community who would benefit from the services and programs available. Funded by the WV DoHS.
Family Resource Network
The West Virginia Family Resource Networks are organizations that respond to the needs and opportunities of the community. Partnering with community
members and public and private organizations, the WVFRN members develop
innovative projects and provide needed resources for their local areas. Our initiatives demonstrate the network’s commitment to community development in the region. Funded by the WV DoHS.
PRN Parent Resource Navigator Coordinates with the families, courts, CPS, and our current Starting Points staff to better strengthen and provide support for parents already in the Court/CPS system in order to reach their goal of sustained reunification with their children.
